Meet Dr. Benard

Dr. Magali Benard is a rural family physician who has been practicing in Westlock, Alberta for over 10 years.  She has a varied practice and looks after community, hospital and palliative care patients. She is a physician leader with local and provincial responsibilities.

Together with her husband, they have a small acreage where their cat family has grown to seven and they have developed a passion for gardening. On their time off, they enjoy travelling, underwater photography and improving their freediving skills. 

Dr. Benard believes in prevention and rejuvenation. She is passionate about the relationship with her patients and their wellbeing. Optimizing physical, mental, and social health is a journey and she really values the privilege of partnering together. Medical aesthetics is about revealing one’s natural beauty, increasing self-esteem and igniting that self-confidence.

She has been performing minor surgical procedures since the beginning of her career and very much looks forward to these treatments.  Over the last 1.5 years, Dr. Benard has trained under the supervision of several skin specialists and has continued her medical education to further her skills and knowledge in aesthetic design, as well as enhanced safety procedures.  Her goal is always a beautiful outcome that is not overdone. One of her personal favourite medical aesthetics treatments is the mid-face and cheek rejuvenation.
